Suggested Adult Intake:
One to three capsules per day.
Pregnancy / Nursing: Believed safe.
Cautions: Ginger may lengthen bleeding times and so should be avoided by those with ulcers or bleeding disorders.
Persons taking aspirin or "blood-thinning" drugs such as warfarin (Coumadin®) should not take ginger without active monitoring of their International Normalized Ratio (INR).
Ginger increases bile flow and should be used cautiously by those with gallstones.
Chronic use of high doses (6g/day or more) may weaken the lining of the stomach and increase vulnerability to ulcers.
