Angel Organic Lager from the up and coming Scottish Brewery, Broughton Ales, is a pilsner style lager with plenty of flavour. Angel Organic Lager has a good hop aroma and a delicate hop bitterness. Brewed using carefully selected yeast, lager malt, New Zeland hops and soft water from the Scottish Border hills.
This exciting lager is brewed to the exacting standards required by the Soil Association Certification Ltd of the United Kingdom.
The lager malt is prepared from Organically grown barley. The hops are grown in New Zealand and England using natural methods to control hop pests and diseases. To complete the process a specially selected lager yeast is used and fermentation is carried out at the low temperature of 11°C for a full 14 days. The end result is a premium beer with all the delicate flavours and aromas associated with a Pilsner type lager.
Angel Organic Lager is a refreshing clean tasting beer with an excellent aroma and aftertaste. At 5.0% ABV Angel Organic Lager is a premium lager to stand alongside the famous lagers of the world.
Angel Organic Lager has won several awards. The most recent is a diploma in the 2004 BBI competition, it was also highly commended for the Organic Food Awards 2002.
