BioCare FOS (Fructo-Oligosaccharides). BioCare was the first company to introduce fructooligosaccharide (F.G.S.) to practitioners in the U.K. F.O.S. was originally referred to in our literature as bifido growth factors (B.G.F.) and oligo-fibre.
Fructooligosaccharide (F.O.S.) selectively supports the growth of beneficial bacteria and form part of a group of compounds found in raw fruits and vegetables such as artichokes, chicory and dandelion.
FEATURES
F.O.S. is a natural fibre that occurs in unprocessed fruits and vegetables.
F.O.S. when taken on a regular basis, selectively helps support the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria.
F.O.S. encourages peristaltic motion, exerting a positive influence on bowel activity and evacuation.
F.O.S. is water dispersible and acts as a bulking agent in the bowel.
F.O.S. can be used as nutritional support in candida and yeast free diets.
Studies show fructooligosaccharides may help maintain normal triglyceride levels.
F.O.S. does not elevate blood sugar.
F.O.S. Provides insignificant amounts of calorific value.
F.O.S. does not encourage the arowth of Candida albicans or other yeast organisms.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF BioCare FOS:
Recommended Intake: One table spoon (approx 10g) sprinkled on cereal, fresh fruit or blended into yoghurt or fruit juice daily or as professionally directed.
NB. This product can initially cause wind and bloating.
CONTRA•INDICATIONS:
Not suitable to be taken in conjunction with drugs that are inhibited by pH lowering agents.
