BioCare MicroCell Squalene (Vegetable). Squalene is a highly purified polyunsaturated hydrocarbon containing alkoxyglycerols (AKG's). Squalene is normally extracted from shark liver oil. Squalene acts as an energy source for sharks, allowing them to exist in an oxygen deprived environment.
In humans squalene makes up approximately 12% of sebum. Squalene and it's main component alkoxyglycerols help to strengthen the immune system.
BioCare introduces vegetable source saualene which has been micellised by our unique MicroCell® process to enhance absorption. A viable alternative to squalene derived from shark liver oil.
