BioCare Mycopryl 400 (Medium Strength Caprylic Acid). Caprylic acid is a short chain fatty acid found in human breast milk and coconuts that has been found to help maintain the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
Calcium is normally absorbed in the body before it reaches the large intestine, however, supplying caprylic acid bound to magnesium and calcium helps release caprylic acid lower down in the large intestine.
Caprylic Acid favours the growth of the lactic acid bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract and is best taken in conjunction with a low yeast and low sugar diet.

Mycopryl is not water-soluble like some caprylic acid products such as potassium and zinc caprylate.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF BioCare Mycopryl 400:
Recommended Intake: One capsule taken twice daily with food or as professionally directed. NB. Mycopryl 400 capsules should not be opened or chewed.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Not suitable for use in pregnancy or if pregnancy is being planned. Not suitable for individuals with colitis, gastritis or ulcerative conditions of the stomach or colon.
