BioCare P-5-P Complex. Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (P-5-P) is the biologic'ally active form of vitamin B6. The utilisation of vitamin B6 in many metabolic processes is dependent upon associated nutritional co-factors. Mineral citrates contain a mineral ion bonded to citric acid. Zinc citrate is the form of zinc found in human breast milk. Citrates are a readily absorbable source of minerals.

P-5-P Complex contains co-factors vitamin B2, beta carotene, zinc and magnesium for the proper utilisation of vitamin B6 in the body.
Citrates are particularly beneficial for those with low stomach acid as they require little or no acidification prior to absorption.
Large intakes of mineral citrates are not necessary due to their bio-availability.
Vitamin B6 assists in the production of essential brain chemicals.
Vitamin B6 is required for the conversion of the amino acid tryptophan to vitamin B3.
