Lycopene is an unsaturated carotenoid pigment which imparts the red colour in fruits and vegetables particularly tomatoes and is similar in composition to beta carotene. Medical research has shown that Lycopene is more absorbable from the intestinal tract in the form of micelles but is poorly absorbed from raw tomatoes and tomato juice.
PharmaGuard's AquaCell Lycopene is presented as water-solubilised micelles to maximize absorption.
