I am a 66 year old man living in London. I have annual medicals which include a PSA test. My PSA level has been up and down but peaked at 5.14 when tested on 20 August this year. My GP sent me to a consultant urologist who I had seen regularly for a few years whilst monitoring my prostate. He had carried out a TURP two years ago with no malignancy detected in the histology. He recommended a new, more specific test (PCA3, I believe) which indicated a 55% chance of malignancy. I then had an MRI followed by a biopsy. The MRI was clear but the biopsy showed two malignant samples (out of 12), with a Gleeson level of 6. I then took a variety of other opinions (10!) from urologists, radiation oncologists, and other doctors with whom I am friendly. Their advice ran from radical prostatectomy - to various forms of radiation - to do nothing but watch and monitor carefully. I decided to have no treatment and to have a further PSA test.
I also consulted the manager of a health store in London, Revital, the Victoria branch, and he strongly recommended that I try your Blueberry Punch. That was four weeks ago, and I have taken your recommended dilution since then, but three times a day, that amount based on something I read on the internet where a number of men with prostate cancer are currently receiving that dosage in a controlled test.
I had the PSA test yesterday and it had reduced down from 5.14 to 2.69 which surprised my doctor and, of course. delighted me. My doctor's advice is therefore watchful surveillance until February 2010 when I shall have another test.
I will naturally continue with the Blueberry Punch, which is viewed with amusement by my GP and specialist, but seems quite possibly to have been a positive factor in this reversal of my PSA level, so thank you Dr Red!
