The Caledonian Brewery is the last brewery in Britain still using direct fired open coppers. Golden Promise is a rich, malty, bitter sytle beer with a nice warm flavour. It has a pronounced malt and floral hops aroma, with orange fruit dominating the palate and a deep and complex finish with citric fruit, biscuity malt and spicy hops.
Golden Promise from the Caledonian Brewery is recommended by Roger Protz as one of the 'Classic Bottled Beers of the World', and was the Silver Medal Winner for the 'International Beer and Cider Competition 2002'.
