A member of the pea family, Alfalfa has been used for centuries for its' rich Mineral and Vitamin content. It ahs the longest root structure of any green plant, reaching up to 40ft down, absorbing the rich nutrients found deep in the soil. In addition, it is packed with many of the nutrients found in cereal grasses.
Alfalfa is high in Iron, rich in Chlorophyll and has the highest fibre content of any grasses. Just one look at the dark green colour of our Alfalfa sets it apart from any other Alfalfa.
Pines Alfalfa is harvested in Spring and Autumn, when it is tender and its' peak nutritional level. The leaves are then carefully dried at low temperature in order to maintain the highest possible nutrient levels. Finally, the tablets are nitrogen-packed in amber glass to ensure freshness and potency.
