A member of the pea family, Alfalfa has been used for centuries for its' rich Mineral and Vitamin content. It ahs the longest root structure of any green plant, reaching up to 40ft down, absorbing the rich nutrients found deep in the soil. In addition, it is packed with many of the nutrients found in cereal grasses.

Pines Alfalfa is harvested in Spring and Autumn, when it is tender and its' peak nutritional level. The leaves are then carefully dried at low temperature in order to maintain the highest possible nutrient levels.
