Protexin Protect:
The microorganisms contained within Protexin Protect occur naturally in the gut of humans. When added to the diet, these microorganisms re-establish the disrupted gut, thus promoting the mechanism of competitive exclusion against potential pathogenic bacteria, efficient digestion and natural immunity. This product is designed for continuous use to promote efficient digestion, immunity and overall health or at times of stress, following antibiotic therapy or when traveling when digestive upsets may occur.
Protect is the first health food supplement to combine pure allicin with probiotic microorganisms. Historically garlic, its active component being Allicin, is known to have powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal effects. However, even though Allicin has been shown to have a broad-spectrum activity against pathogenic bacteria, this ingredient does not affect the beneficial microflora within the gut. Thus Allicin and Probiotics may be combined in the same formulation to produce a synergy of actions to benefit the body.
This formulation also contains a Prebiotic in the form of Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) which is a non-digestible, soluble-fibre carbohydrate that selectively stimulates the growth and activity of the beneficial microorganisms contained within this product.
Protexin Protect is designed for use:
• During periods of high risk from food poisoning bacteria from food or water such as during travel
• When the body is at risk from seasonal infections such as colds and flus
• As a back-to-school formulation when there is an increased risk of infections such as stomach infections or viruses such as colds or flus
• For specific gastrointestinal complaints such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (including colitis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and Lactose Intolerance to help prevent the symptoms of these disorders and encourage good digestion
• During travel when consuming different types of water and food and the risk of food poisoning is increased
Recommended daily intake:
Take 2 capsules daily preferably after the main meal of the day.
