Viridian Horse Chestnut Organic Ointment contains an extract of Horse chestnut seed. This has been traditionally used in the treatment of rheumatism and conditions of venous congestion. Particularly with dull, aching pain and fullness. Other major uses include rectal complaints and reflex conditions attributed to rectal involvement (including headache, spasmodic asthma, dizziness, disturbed digestion).
Viridian Horse Chestnut Organic Ointment also contains extracts of;
• Burdock root (Arctium Lappa), which in traditional Chinese medicine is used for septic conditions such as boils, abscesses, septic disorders, boils and any chronic inflammatory state.
• Marigold flower (Calendula Officinalis); is often used wherever there is skin inflammation, whether due to infection or physical damage.
• Rosemary leaf (Rosmarinus Officinalis); The parts used in medicine are the flowering tops and leaves which have a powerful, diffusive, camphoraceous odour, and an aromatic, bitter taste.
• Lavender oil (Lavendula Angustifolia);which has a number of potent antioxidant phytochemicals such as limonene, provide free radical quenching activity.
Other ingredients:
Beeswax, and sunflower oil act as an emulsion, carrier agent and protect the active herbal ingredients within the ointment.
