Miso soup, famously healthy & light, is the staple of Japanese cuisine. Miso is a paste made from a mixture of soybeans, a starch like rice or barley, salt, water and yeast. Miso soup owes its popularity to its rich flavour, quick preparation time and various health benefits. In Japan, it is considered essential for good health and strength.
These itsu miso soups are the instant version of the detox miso soup you'll find in itsu stores. Whilst some miso soups come in a powder format, these miso soups come in a paste, giving a much fuller flavour and texture than powdered miso. It's free from MSG, colourings and artificial flavourings.
To make our miso soup, just empty the sachet of miso paste into a mug and add hot water for a healthy and quick meal. Ready in an instant, it is the perfect easy snack or light lunch. There are also many recipes that use miso soup to add a depth of flavour, for example as a glaze on salmon or beef.
