These delicious petals of pure raw spirulina can be used in smoothies, guacamoles, etc. as well as simply sprinkled on food. They are absolutely raw – as in dried at less than 42°C –, and suprisingly moreish. Compared to other formats of raw spirulina offered by Gourmet Spirulina, spirulina petals are light and cripsy, ideal for sprinkling. Spirulina nibs are crunchier and perfect for salads, whereas spirulina crunchies have a more intense taste and are perfect for preparing chlorophyll-packed smoothies or for extra crunchiness in dishes.
Take 1 tbsp. per day (3 grams), sprinkled on food
Raw spirulina is a wholesome which should be used in a healthy balanced diet. Do not use as a meal replacement. Do not take spirulina regularly if you have excess iron (due to high iron content) or are taking anticoagulants (due to high vitamin K content).
