AB21 is a collection of 3 bacterial strains, Pediococcus acidilactici CECT 7483, Lactobacillus plantarum CECT 7484, Lactobacillus plantarum CECT 30292 and Lactobacillus plantarum CECT 7485.
AB21 bacteria strains show specific properties on immunity enhancement through a triple mechanism of action:

1. Immune cell stimulation; activation of the immune response by direct cross-talk with immune cells
2. Enhancement of gut barrier function; synthesis of polyphosphate granules (poly-P), molecules that improve intestinal permeability
3. Anti-inflammatory activity; production of acetate and acetylcholine, which balance the inflammatory response in the gut mucosa

The gut-lung axis
Recent evidence describes the cross-talk between the microbiotas of the gut and lungs. Changes in lung microbial community influences the composition of the gut microbiota and vice-versa, influencing respiratory health. Disturbances in gut and lung microbiota have been linked to respiratory diseases including viral respiratory tract infections, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
AB21 probiotic modulates the gut lung axis.

What does the research show?
• Randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial with parallel arms
• 300 patients aged 18-60 years
• Almost half of subjects with known metabolic risk factors (diabetes, obesity) Not suitable for infants and children under 2 years of age.

Ingredients

Maltodextrin, Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (Vegetable Celluluose Capsule Shell), Lactobacillus Plantarum KABP 022, Lactobacillus Plantarum KABP 023, Pediococcus Acidilactici KABP 021, Lactobacillus Plantarum KABP 033, Vitamin D, Magnesium Stearte.

 

Directions For Use

Suitable for daily use for adults and children over 2 years.

Take 1 capsule daily ideally with breakfast. Capsules can be swallowed whole or pulled apart and contents sprinkled on cold food or mixed with a cold drink.

If you are taking antibiotics: Take 1 capsules daily, ideally with a meal 2-4 hours after taking your antibiotics. Continue for 2 weeks after you have finished your antibiotics.

 

Precautions

Not suitable for infants and children under 2 years of age.
