Description

Solgar® Betaine Hydrochloride with Pepsin contains the gastric acidifier Betaine Hydrochloride with Pepsin, an enzyme which breaks down proteins.

Digestion and absorption of nutrients are important functions of the body to remain healthy and to support general well-being. In order to receive all the benefits from the foods consumed, the digestive system needs to breakdown carbohydrates, proteins and fats into molecules so they can enter the body’s circulation. The digestive tract may be the most important component in the body as it singly is responsible for making sure we receive the full effect of the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients from our food. Maintaining a healthy digestion is therefore of upmost importance.

Natural botanicals and digestive enzymes are excellent aids to the digestive system. A number of digestive support supplements are available.

Betaine Hydrochloride is an acidic form of Betaine and is often used to support levels of stomach acid. Pepsin is produced in the stomach and is one of the main digestive enzymes helping to digest proteins in food. The daily dose of 1-3 tablets will provide you with two key ingredients.

 

Ingredients

Betaine Hydrochloride, Bulking Agents: (microcrystalline cellulose, lactose (from milk), hydroxypropyl cellulose, maltodextrin), Pepsin (1:10,000 units**), Cellulose Gum, Anti-caking Agents: (silicon dioxide, vegetable magnesium stearate), Flavour: natural peppermint.

 

Directions For Use
As a food supplement for adults, one (1) tablet, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.Tablets should be swallowed with water - DO NOT CHEW.

Precautions

If you are pregnant, nursing, taking any medications or have any medical condition, please consult your healthcare practitioner before taking this product. CAUTION: Do not take in case of stomach or duodenal pain or history of ulcers. Food Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store out of the reach of young children.
