Description

This is a wonderful essential oil is a steam distillation of leaves and flowering tops. Absolute Aromas Basil Linalol pure essential oil is clear, sweet, spicy and is yellowish in colour.

Absolute Aromas Basil Linalol essential oil is a stimulating and clearing oil. It is useful for enhancing concentration and to combat tiredness and fatique.

Try adding 1 drop of Absolute Aromas Basil Linalol and 3 drops of Absolute Aromas Lemon essential oil to water in an oil burner to create the perfect atmosphere for hours of exam revision, studying or paperwork!

Try a blend of 1 drop Absolute Aromas Basil Linalol and 1 drop Absoulte Aromas Lavender essential oil in 10ml of Absolute Aromas Sweet Almond oil for a perfect abdomen massage oil to soothe the stomach. Remember when massaging the abdomen to always massage in a clockwise direction and follow the flow of digestion which moves from right to left.

There are several different types of Basil essential oil. Absolute Aromas has selected a True Sweet Basil Oil (Ocimum Basilicum) which is known for its high content of Linalol. This is the safest and most pleasant of the Basil oils that are used in Aromatherapy. Exotic Basil Oil is also known as Reunion, Estragole, Methyl Chavicol type or, confusingly, Sweet Basil Oil. The main constituent, 70-88%, of Exotic Basil is Estragole (Methyl Chavicol) which is moderately toxic and irritating to the skin and has raised concerns that it may be carcinogenic. The Linalol type, with approximately 8% Estragole, is preferable for aromatherapy.

In Greece, Basil is often referred to as joy of the mountains, and the plant is still used in cooking and as a medicinal herb.

Caution:
Do not use during pregnancy .Use the oil in moderation, especially by those with sensitive skin. Remember essential oils are powerful natural healing remedies and should be used carefully.
